Half a Watermelon and a Herd of Buffalo

A creative, memorable and fun way to approach people about Job’s Daughters

This is a very simple system:

  1. half a watermelon and a herd of buffalo
  2. a sword a club and a bunch of girls
  3. dancing boys
  4. a shelf full of sports equipment and board games
  5. a speaker with a skull and a ship on top
  6. a big chair with a little hiker in it
  7. an airplane made out of meat
  8. adults holding butter
  9. an eyeball typing (on the floor in the center of the room)
  10. a light bulb covered in dew
  11. the ceiling is gone- it goes on forever into the sky

What It Means

  1. half a watermelon and a herd of buffalo (“Have you heard about Job’s Daughters?”)
  2. a sword, club and a bunch of girls (“It is sort of a club for girls.”)
  3. dancing boys (“We have dances with boys called DeMolay.”)
  4. sports equipment and board games (“We play sports and games.”)
  5. a speaker with a skull and a ship on top (“We teach girls public speaking and give scholarships.”)
  6. a big chair with a little hiker in it (“We have our own charity called HIKE.”)
  7. an airplane made out of meat (“We travel to meet people.”)
  8. adults holding butter (“We have adults who help but they're just there to advise us.”)
  9. (on the floor in the center of the room) an eyeball typing (“I think you’re the right type of person for this.”)
  10. a light bulb with dew (“What do you think?”)
  11. the ceiling is gone- it goes on forever into the sky (this represents you listening to what they have to say)
